School Information

The school is situated to the east of Bridgeton Cross, between Main Street and Dalmarnock Road and adjacent to Sacred Heart Church. 
 

History and Design

Our present school building, modern, comfortable, spacious in design, was completed in 1966 and formally opened in February 1967. It replaced the original ‘Girls and Infants School’. The building comprises an Infant Wing of four hexagonal shaped classrooms; the Administrative Block, Assembly Hall and Gymnasium; and a two storey Junior and Senior Block with twelve traditional classrooms.

Parents and carers should note that the working capacity of the school may vary dependent upon the number of pupils at each stage and the way in which the classes are organised.
The school is a member of the St Mungo’s Learning Community.

Morning Session:               9.00 – 12.15pm
Intervals:                        10.25 – 10.40am         Infant Pupils Pr 1 – Pr 3
                                      10.45 – 11.00am         Junior & Senior Pupils P4 – P7
Lunch:                             12 - 1245pm P1 - P3    12.15 – 1.00pm  P4 - P7
Afternoon Session:             1.00 – 3.00pm          Uniform dismissal time for all children
 
Primary 1 children attend for morning session only from August until the first week in September after which the children attend for the full school day.
