PROMOTING POSITIVE BEHAVIOUR

The relationship between pupil and teacher is similar to that between child and their own parents/guardians requiring mutual consideration on both sides.

Good discipline is essential to the smooth running of the school, and is vital to the educational chances of our pupils. It is a matter of joint concern … parents/carers and school co-operating to achieve a high standard of socially acceptable behaviour, good manners, respect and consideration for others. Rules have been formulated to ensure the safety, security and well-being of all our children. Rules are kept to a minimum, and for good reason. They are explained to the children by the Head Teacher and respective class teachers. Children, regardless of age and stage, are expected to observe the rules and regulations.
The school’s Promoting Positive Behaviour Scheme encourages and rewards good behaviour and good work and sets realistic short term targets for all pupils.
