SUPERVISION OF PLAYGROUNDS
An adult presence is provided in playgrounds at breaktimes in terms of the Schools (Safety and Supervision of Pupils) (Scotland) Regulations, 1990.
At Sacred Heart Primary School there are normally at least 6 adults in the playground at all times. The school janitor and Pupil Support Assistants provide this supervision.
Wet Play Supervision
We try to ensure children are able to go outside for fresh air. They will only be kept in on occasions when bad weather is severe. They are supervised by the janitor and pupil support assistants.
